Rates for Vancouver Fishing Trips
Bon Chovy Fishing Charters is pleased to offer a fleet of various sized boats to accomodate everyones needs. We depart from the world famous Granville Island, minutes from all major downtown Vancouver hotels. Our charter boats are ideally rigged to fish our local waters. All of our boats are rigged to perfection with new Yamaha Outboards and top of the line fishing gear. Our salmon fishing charter boats have been chosen to accomodate different group sizes and budgets.

Grady White Gulfstream - 23 Feet
The 23 foot Grady White Gulfstream is widely known as the best 23 foot fishing boat on the water. With its wide beam and open layout, it feels like a way bigger boat! Our Gulfstreams are expertly equipped with new 300hp Yamaha engines complimented by 9.9hp trolling motors with aft steering. The boats have top of the line fishing gear and are perfect west coast fishing boats. There is a flush toilet inside the cabin. Our Grady White Gulfstreams can accommodate 1-4 guests.
Grady White Sailfish - 28 feet
The Grady White Sailfish is 28 feet in length. It combines comfort with speed and agility making it one of the most popular fishing boats around. It can take up to 6 guests and is well rigged with new twin 250hp Yamaha engines and a precision trolling. This is one of our most popular all around boats complete with a private washroom, heated cabin and top of the line fishing gear.
Grady White Marlin - 30 Feet
This boat is 30 feet in length and is the largest charter boat in the Vancouver Charter scene. It is our most popular boat for bigger groups and for those smaller groups who want a more room and comfort. The boat has twin 250hp engines, and 15 hp trolling and top of the line fish finding equipment. The heated cabin has a good sized private washroom with a flush toilet. Our Grady White Marlin can take up to 6 people comfortably. In some cases, like family groups we can accommodate 7 people on this boat, please call or email to inquire about 7 person groups.
Charters
Our half day Vancouver fishing charters are 5 hours in length dock to dock. We generally fish within a 20-minute run of our dock location on Granville Island.
8 hour
An 8 hour charter is perfect for those who want to make a day of it. We recommend 8 hour charters as we can run a little further if we need to and have more time to ensure we catch the bite.
10 hour
A 10 hour charter gives you 10 hours on the water. This charter option is a great way to take full advantage of the day's tide changes. Gulf Island Fishing Charters are only possible on 10 hour charters.
*Crab traps are often dropped in the winter and spring. Prawning is often possible on our 8 hour winter salmon fishing trips between November and April.
Bottom Fishing
We offer Gulf Island bottom fishing charters for ling cod in May and June. A 10 hour trip is required and is weather permitting.
Multi Day Trips with Accommodation
Have a look at our fishing packages page. We have some great multi day trips with waterfront accommodation in Vancouver, Bowen Island, Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands.
When fishing with Bon Chovy the boat, the guide, and the fishing equipment are supplied.
Booking Policy
We will take a credit card number to hold your reservation. We do not take a deposit.We require 72 hours notice if you wish to cancel or make changes to your day charter without penalty.
Charter Rates do not include applicable taxes, fishing licenses, or gratuity.
Fish Processing
We will clean and bag your catch at no extra charge. Packing your catch for travel can be arranged as we are conveniently across the street from the Lobsterman. They sell airplane approved coolers with gel packs. This is the most convenient way to take your fish home with you via plane or car. In Vancouver, custom processing options, like vacuum packing and smoking, are available through St. Jeans Cannery in Richmond. We do not drop off fish for shipping or processing at St. Jeans.
