Fishing Charter Report for Vancouver and Sidney
We are definitely in full summer mode now! The temperatures have been hot, we are on the water daily and we have been chasing fish all over the Salish Sea! Chinook fishing has been good on our full day trips to the Gulf Island's, but on the slow side for our local Vancouver trips. Local Vancouver fishing should perk up now that we are finally seeing some summer like weather and more fish will stage locally, especially coho.Everyone is hoping on a sockeye opening in the coming days/weeks as we are in a peak year for Fraser River bound sockeye. The early test catches showed promise, but the recent test catches have declined. As soon as numbers increase in the marine approaches, there is a good chance we will see an opening. Time will tell.
Our Sidney based fishing charters have been doing very well and chinook fishing has been solid. If you are looking for a Vancouver Island based fishing charter, Jason is guiding over there on a 30 foot Grady.
Vancouver fishing charters are very close to being sold out out for August and September, please email info@bonchovy.com for any possible dates
